An initial study of the meaning and value of prime numbers began very casually on December 31, 2017 within this website.
This study will be done in concert with current work within number theory. In the first column is Wikipedia’s analysis of a prime number. The second column is our analysis in light of the Big Board – little universe charts. The third column will become our analysis of the whole numbers. This page marks the beginning (March 30, 2018) of a more intentional study. The exercise is important to get a feeling for numbers, flow, and multiplication so we begin to get a deeper sense of the potential applications (purpose and function) of prime numbers.
There are 46 prime numbers within the 202 notations. Today it is our assumption that each prime opens a secondary mathematical system within the overall doubling progression. Our very preliminary analysis of that concept will unfold within the discussions about each individual notation. Within the first notation it is hypothesized that this domain if the beginning of projective geometries. Within the second notation it is hypothesize it is then beginning of Euclidean geometries. That analysis was also a homepage.
