What is a virtual season? It's the continuation of a show, by its fans, which has come to an end. The proposed idea is to put together a seventh season of Xena - and if it's not a nightmare - possibly an eighth. But in order for this to work, other members of the Xena fan community are needed.

We currently have a core team comprised of four people. We need one or two more people who are willing to put a lot of work into this and are willing to help see it through to it's completion in May 2002. Besides this, we also need:

Writers who are willing to work on an episode either on their own or as a team. Writers can either contact us with their own idea for an episode or we have plenty of episode ideas we can give you.

People who feel they are familiar enough with the characters that they could read over an episode to see if anything feels askew.

Other all around creative people willing to brainstorm for ideas and to give suggestions.

Artists willing to make montages and mock TV Guide ads for the episodes.

Once we've seen the series finale, we will use that as leverage to start the seventh season. It should contain an overall story arch which will tie it together as well as numerous stand alone and mini-arc episodes. Each episode will stay true to the style, feel, and mood of the series. This means that subtext will remain subtext, the Xena-Ares relationship will not materialize into an actual relationship, etc. The idea is for all current fans of Xena to be able to enjoy the virtual season as much as the real thing. This is our chance to put the stories we never got to see into action. The virtual season will consist of the standard 22 episode and will follow the usual air-dates so that the schedule will look something like this:

7.1 to air on 9/24/01
7.2 to air on 10/1/01
7.3 to air on 10/8/01
7.4 to air on 10/15/01
7.5 to air on 10/22/01
7.6 to air on 10/29/01
7.7 to air on 11/5/01
7.8 to air on 11/12/01

7.9 to air on 1/14/02
7.10 to air on 1/21/02
7.11 to air on 1/28/02
7.12 to air on 2/24/02
7.13 to air on 2/4/02
7.14 to air on 2/11/02
7.15 to air on 2/18/02
7.16 to air on 2/25/02

7.17 to air on 3/4/02
7.18 to air on 3/11/02
7.19 to air on 4/22/02
7.20 to air on 4/29/02
7.21 to air on 5/6/02
7.22 to air on 5/13/02

Episodes will be written in either transcript or script form and will be both posted here and sent out via the email list each week. Also, spoilers on upcoming episodes will be posted here as we have them... because what's a season of Xena without spoilers?
