Ruth Joffre is a Bolivian American writer and the author of the story collection Night Beast. Her work has been shortlisted for the Creative Capital Award, longlisted for The Story Prize, and supported by residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Lighthouse Works, The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow, and The Arctic Circle. Her stories, poems, essays, and book reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in more than 100 publications, including Lightspeed, Pleiades, Nightmare, TriQuarterly, Reckoning, Wigleaf, and the anthologies We’re Here: The Best Queer Speculative Fiction 2022 and 2022 Best of Utopian Speculative Fiction.
