Let's just call it what it is. UX research is no longer focused on the user or the experience. What it is now is help me not look like a dumb ass. Now as teams make decisions based on conjecture, assumptions, and what other companies are doing, now more than ever were are called on to tell help teams implement something that users may not want or need. Not long ago it was researches need to think more about the business to be able to make impact. Really the business has already made the decision now it help us make sure it's not a bad one. The formula is really simple build great experience around helping people solve a problem or take something that is already established and make the experience easier and more engaging. Now is there a way to put AI in there so we have AI like eveo else. I was doing some research on LinkedIn's premium prescription and to be more specific it's adoption. Many publications say that LinkedIn think the rise in premium subscription adoption is due to their new AI tools. I mean I'm sure they ha e data that I don't but I would hypothesize that it is due to so many people being out of work. It's like they completely missed the human experience in all of this. Writing stuff like this I'll probably never be hired again but who cares at this point.
