As we look back on 2025, we’re grateful for the connections, growth, and unforgettable moments shared with our guests, horses, and community at the Kentucky Horse Park. Here’s a look at some of the highlights that made this year so special:
🐴 We welcomed visitors six days a week, offering even more opportunities to explore the Park. The Breeds Barn debuted refreshed programming with the Equine Showcase and Equine Academy, while new wayfinding signage and improved walkability enhanced the guest experience. Outdoor murals added color and creativity across the grounds. The Big Barn also welcomed two new Clydesdales, Pete and Bob, who quickly became guest favorites while pulling the trolley and greeting visitors.
🏛️ One of the year’s most exciting additions was The Bond statue featuring Cody’s Wish — a powerful tribute to the connection between horse and human. We also unveiled the Go For Gin statue during a special ceremony at the Hall of Champions Memorial Walk of Champions. Construction and facility improvements moved forward across multiple barns, helping prepare the Park for the future.
🎉 From world-class competitions to beloved traditions, 2025 was filled with memorable events, including the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, Battle in the Saddle, BreyerFest, and our annual Hallowhinny Show. Partnerships with 250Lex brought Tour de Lex and the Back to School Celebration to the Park, while added amenities enhanced the experience for guests and competitors alike.
🏆 With an incredible 70,220 votes cast, Quin from the Big Barn was crowned our 2025 Kentucky Horse Park Horse of the Year — a true fan favorite!
📸 We welcomed Ruthie, a former Clydesdale foal, back to the Park with her first foal, Pearl, during a special visit. Smiles from Youth Riding Camp and the Mustang Troop once again reminded us why the Kentucky Horse Park is such a special place.
As we close the chapter on 2025, we’re thankful for everyone who visited, supported, and shared in the magic of the Park this year. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing our mission of celebrating the beauty, strength, and spirit of the horse. Here’s to an exciting 2026! 🐎💙
