Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.
“Zelos“
Elevator Pitch: Maria, a competitive woman in her late 30’s orders a clone from North
Korea under the pretense of getting some help around the house so she
can spend more time with her husband and two kids, but mostly to compete
with her flawless friend Ari. As the story unfolds Maria begins to
compete with the clone itself and soon realizes that this purchase may
not have been her best decision.
Production Team:
About the Production: If you had chance to meet your clone, would you like that person? I was
inspired to write ZELOS, exploring my own relationships with my
friends. The pressure women put on themselves and how that is reflected
in our society. Everybody wants to be the best version of themselves,
but what does that really mean? If you had a chance to meet that
person, would you necessarily like them? Is self-worth possible without
comparison and what is the true warning in the 10th commandment? “You
shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor”.
