Visited the old blog again today. Hope all of you out in the gunblog aether are doing well. Hard to believe it's been this many years.
Not much to report on this end. Got a second term on our county fair board, and I'm running for township trustee this fall. Glutton for punishment I guess.
Far as gun stuff goes, I hardly shoot anymore. Enough to stay competent with my CCW and whack the occasional coyote, nothing more. Sad, really. Life and ammo cost about chased me out of it, but I'm hoping to have more time in 2024. On the positive side, we're moving back to the family farm, and I can shoot 1000 yards if I please, so there's that. I'd like to shoot a Garand match at Perry one of these years.
On a positive note, the wife and I have taken up beekeeping, which we both really enjoy. Fascinating bugs, bees. Any of you reading the from the old days need only contact me and I'll mail you a jar. And mead will be a thing this fall. Pulled 50 lbs last week, and we've got blackberries by the gallon, so we're going to give it a go.
Anyhow, hope you all are well.
