These are two paintings I did during a Matt Smith Workshop at the Sedona Arts Center. Matt is a terrific teacher, delivering a coherent set of principles and then following through on those with each individual consultation and on his own demonstrations. Matt has agreed to return another time with a plein air workshop here but the date is yet to be determined.

The School at the Sedona Arts is currently offering a 10% discount on workshop registrations for enrollments that take place between NOW and Sept 5th! There are many workshops to choose from including my “Painting without Fear” workshop which you can see by clicking the workshop page at the top of the blog. You can peruse all the workshops in various categories or by viewing a chronological list HERE, you can get the discount automatically by entering the code FALL2012 in the coupon field if you are registering online or call and mention the coupon 888.954.4442

Happy Hunting!

I have been visiting a nearby ‘junkyard’ and historic ghost town. The beautiful side of entropy. Hmmm… come to think of it the Grand Canyon and Sedona are similar themes of  erosion and oxidation.
