Prison Break Revival: The Last Ship‘s Inbar Lavi to Recur on Fox Event Series
Israeli actress Inbar Lavi will have a hand in Fox‘s latest and greatest Prison Break.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the actress, who most recently recurred on TNT’s The Last Ship, has booked a key role on the upcoming event series, as Sheba, an operator/fixer/activist who becomes involved with Lincoln Burrows (played by Legends of Tomorrow‘s Dominic Purcell).
In the drama’s new, nine-episode chapter — which picks up after the apparent death of “escape artist” Michael Scofield (Legends of Tomorrow‘s Wentworth Miller) — Sara Tancredi (Colony‘s Sarah Wayne Callies) has moved on with her life, raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband (Royal Pains‘ Mark Feuerstein). But when clues surface suggesting that Michael may actually be alive, Sara teams with his brother Lincoln to engineer the series’ “biggest escape ever.”
“The story unravels on an international landscape — it’s not a domestic [plot],” Fox co-chairman/CEO Dana Walden has said. “We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story.”
In addition to the aforementioned returning stars, Robert Knepper, Amaury Nolasco and Rockmond Dunbar will reprises their role as T-Bag, Sucre and C-Note. Lavi joins new cast members Rick Yune, Augustus Prew and Steve Mouzakis.
Lavi’s previous TV credits also include Sons of Anarchy, Gang Related and Underemployed. Production on Prison Break’s nine-episode event series starts next month in Vancouver.
