Welcome to the Sanctuary of Vindos
My name is Lorna Smithers and I am a Brythonic Polytheist author and shamanic guide based in Penwortham, Lancashire, North West England, in the UK.
Brythonic Polytheism is the worship of the Gods who were venerated across ancient Britain into the post-Roman period until the dominance of Christianity and the Anglo-Saxon invasions. Their stories live on in the myths and folklore of Wales.
Shamanism is the practice of entering altered states of consciousness to communicate with spirits and to travel to the spirit world to access guidance and healing. In the Brythonic tradition the Otherworld is known as Annwn ‘Very Deep’ and as Faery.
Vindos / Gwyn ap Nudd ‘White son of Mist’ is a ruler of Annwn. He rules the spirits of Annwn and the dead and gathers the souls of the deceased back to His realm. In my experience He is associated with healing through shamanic practices and art. Vindos is my patron God and I serve Him through my writing and shamanic work.
My books include Enchanting the Shadowlands, The Broken Cauldron and Gatherer of Souls (Sul Books) and The King of Annwn (self published). My writing has appeared in numerous magazines such as Pagan Dawn, Indie Shaman and Sacred Hoop.
I have over ten years experience of practicing Brythonic and Core Shamanism and am training to be a shamanic practitioner. I offer shamanic guidance on exploring the spirit world and meeting spirit guides plus divinatory journeys. My shamanic healing sessions can help you to heal from ailments, illnesses and trauma. I also provide guidance on building relationships with the Brythonic Gods and exploring Annwn.
