I’m so happy because my mom is coming back from Peru. I heard my master on the phone when he was talking to my mom. That means that she will rub my tummy and my ears and I will give her a lot of kisses!!!
I’m so anxiously waiting that my tail is wagging so fast...and I have my soccer ball ready to play!!

It snowed on Wednesday and was beautiful. It was the first snowfall of the season…I said let’s have a snowball fight! But my master said No. He always said no to everything I asked. Here are some pictures of myself on the snow… I enjoyed the snow and had some fun.

My master went to the post office to send some cards and buy some stamps today.Some of the envelopes went out with Kwanzaa stamps. I never heard about this holiday; but my master says it’s a celebration of African culture. And he also says that some people celebrate Hanukkah this time of year. So I guess there are lots of reasons to celebrate besides Christmas!. Now he is in the living room with the rest of the envelopes and his roll of stamps. I went to help lick some stamps but the stamps are adhesive now. He's almost finished. Today he will send the cards that are US and on Monday he has to return to the postal office to send the international. He already sent some international ones. By the way, I got some cards from Lenny and the Latshaws; Comet Blu and lacey; The Dogs (Chloe, Ricky, Sophie, Lucy & Teddy); Cairo the Boxer, and from Randi…Thank you guys.

Mi master fue al correo para enviar algunas tarjetas y a comprar un rollo de estampillas hoy día. Algunos de las tarjetas fueron enviadas con la estampilla de Kwanzaa. Yo nunca he oído hablar de esa fiesta, mi master dice q es una fiesta de la cultura africana. Y también mi master dice que alguna gente celebra Hannukah en esta época del año. Hay varias razones para festejar además de Navidad. Ahora mi master esta en la sala con el resto de las tarjeras poniéndole las estampillas. Yo fui para ayudarle a lamer las estampillas pero las estampillas son adhesivas y no necesitan ser mojadas. El ya casi termina. Hoy día mandara las tarjetas que son dentro de los Estados Unidos y el lunes tendrá que retornar al correo a mandara las que son de otros países.
El ya mando algunas tarjetas de otros países pero faltan más. Yo he recibido tarjetas de Lenny & the Latshaws; Comet Blu & Lacey; The Dogs (Chloe, Ricky, Sophie, Lucy & Teddy); Cairo the Boxer, y de Randi.

The weather was nice in the morning but by evening it was kind of windy and I saw some leaves flip around. Thanksgiving dinner was nice. At one point I was thinking that something was missing and it was my mom. She is coming for Christmas so today we pull out the Christmas tree…the small one because my master said that he have no time to decorate the big tree and that is why we will decorate the small one. Instead of impressing mom with the big tree, he decided to do the small tree…this also shows what a lazy dude my master is. I do not have the pic, but if you see the tree, I think you will be agree with me.

El clima fue agradable por la mañana pero por tarde hubo viento, ví algunas hojas alrededor volando. La cena de la acción de gracias fue agradable. En un momento yo pensé que algo faltaba y era mi mamá. Ella viene para la Navidad, hoy nosotros sacamos el árbol de Navidad…el pequeño porque mi master dijo que él no tiene tiempo de decorar el árbol grande y por eso nosotros decoraremos el pequeño. En vez de impresionar a mamá con el árbol grande, él decidió hacer el pequeño árbol…esto muestra lo perezoso que mi maestro es. No tengo fotos, pero si ustedes ven el árbol, yo creo que me darían la razón.

Today is the birthday of my good friend Verdi. He is tuning 13 years old and he lives in Spain. I bet he is having a blast eating his double portion of Spanish ham.

Well, I’m home again…from the kennel. I'd been away from home for two weeks! My master is back from his trip to the Amazon. Thank you to all who took the time visits me…Thanks for all your comments. I'll visit your blogs this weekend.

I´m loaded. My master went to the pet store and bought my food. I told him I wanted to go too, but he said no because he was in a hurry and i get too distracted with all the toys and dogs around there. Can you believe it?

On Friday the day was cloudy and it was drizzling. On Saturday I woke up and as usual I went to my early spot. My morning spot is next to the door of the balcony where the sun shines so on saturday I went and I saw the curtains closed so I asked my master to please open the curtains so I can catch some rays and he did it. What is your favorite spot early in the morning you guys?

El viernes el día estuvo nublado y llovizno mucho. El sábado me levante y como siempre me fui a mi lugar de las mañanas. Mi lugar de la mañana es a lado de la puerta del balcón, donde el sol brilla y el sábado me fui y vi las cortinas cerradas y le dije a mi master que las abriera para poder tomar un poco de sol y el lo abrió. I have no energy to do anything today. Ok, it's Wednesday but I feel tired. I am not sure why it is. I miss my mom so much.

I've been tagged to do the middle name game by my friend Gaucho, he is from Spain. I will use my first name.
When I was born, I lived with my parents: Cindy and Rufo, and my brothers and sisters. I was the runt of the litter, the last one to be adopted. My parent’s owners called me Dulce. They told me that they were saving me for their good friends who had promised to adopt me. My new parents took me home in a basket when I was seven weeks old. They renamed me Dulce Girasol (Sweet Sunflower) and they have called me by middle name ever since.

He sido nominado por mi amigo Gaucho, el es de España. Usare mi primer nombre.
Cuando Nací, yo viví con mis padres Cindy y Rufo, y mis hermanos y hermanas. Yo fui la última, la más pequeña de la camada y la última en que me adoptaran. Los dueños de mis padres me llamaron Dulce. Ellos me dijeron que me estaban guardando para unos buenos amigos que habían prometido adoptarme. Mis nuevos amos me llevaron a su casa en una canasta cuando tenía 7 semanas de nacida. Ellos me renombraron Dulce Girasol y ellos me han llamado por mi segundo nombre desde entonces.

U: Única, porque no hay otra perrita como yo.

Don´t worry, friends. I am finally home with my master. I also heard the news about the 8.0 earthquake in Peru while I was in the kennel, and I was very, very worried, but then I heard that my masters called to check on me and that they were OK.
They were in Trujillo, my birthplace, the second largest city in Peru; it is north of Lima, and the earthquake only felt like a long tremor there that made people dizzy. But my family members in Lima were very scared by the earthquake and by the many aftershocks that have occurred since. And the towns south of Lima have been devastated. It is very sad because many people died (over500), and entire towns have been destroyed.
I wish I could have gone to help, like those special trained dogs that do such a great job during these types of disasters. When my master picked me up from the kennel, I gave him more kisses than usual because I was happy he was home safe and sound.

No se preocupen amigos. Ya estoy en casa con mi master. Yo tambien escuche las noticias sobre el terremotode de 8.0 grados en Peru mientras estaba en el kennel, y estube muy, pero muy preocupada; pero luego oi que mis masters llamaron para ver como andaba y ellos estaban bien.
Ellos estuvieron en Trujillo, mi lugar de nacimiento, la segunda ciudad mas grande del Peru, que esta al norte de Lima y el terremoto solo se sintio como un fuerte temblor que hizo que la gente se maree. Miembros de mi familia en Lima estuvieron muy asustados por lo del terremoto y las replicas que seguian ocurriendo. Ciudades al sur de Lima han sido devastadas. Es muy triste mas de 500 personas han muerto y las ciudades han sido destrosadas.
Me gustaria ir a ayudar, como esos colegas caninos que han sido entrenados especialmente para ese trabajo y que lo hacen muy bien. Cuando mi master me recogio del kennel le he dado muchos besos, mas de lo normal por que yo estaba feliz de verlo y saber que estaba sano.

Friends, history repeats itself. The luggage has been in the room all weekend; my master is packing for his trip to Peru to visit my mommy master, his family, and friends. I wish I could go to, but there is a pet air travel ban during the summer months because of the heat.
I will go to the kennel. In reality, it is the veterinary clinic; there are some kennels there, it's close to home, and everyone there already knows me. They take good care of me.
I won't be able to write from there, though sometimes they take me to the reception area where I greet the other pets that arrive for their appointments (my reward for good behavior) and then I can use the computer, but I don't want to take advantage of that.
Like my master, I also prepare for my trip:
Food
Snacks
Vitamins
Bowl
Ball
Ipaw
Collar with tags
And a shirt with my master's smell.

Amigos, la historia se repite, la maleta ha estado todo el fin de semana en la habitación, mi master esta empacando para su viaje a Perú, para visitar a mi mami, su familia, y sus amigos. Yo también quisiera ir, pero no dejan viajar a las mascotas en las aerolíneas durante los mese de verano por el calor.
Yo iré al kennel, en realidad es la clínica de mi veterinario que hay algunos kennels ahí y esta cerca de casa. Ahí ya me conocen y me cuidan bien.
No podré escribir desde ahí a pesar de que algunas veces me llevan a la recepción donde saludo a las otras mascotas que llegan para sus citas (es mi premio por buen comportamiento) y podría usar la pc, pero no quiero tomar ventaja de eso.
Así como mi master se prepara yo también lo hago:

I can't be quiet about this anymore. Michael Vick is an evil human being.
For those who might not know. Michael Vick is a NFL star who was indicted on charges from his part in illegal dog fighting (with pit bulls).
Michael Vick is the Devil.
When I heard about the cruel things they did to these poor dogs, I was shocked and disturbed.
I hope he goes to jail for a long time.
This happened in the state where I live, Virginia.

Para aquellos que no saben quien es. Michael Vick es una de las estrellas del football americano que le han presentado cargos por participar en pelea ilegal de perros 9con pit bulls).
Michael Vick es el demonio.
Cuando escuche a cerca de esa crueldad que le hizo a esos pobre perros, estuve en shock y muy perturbada.
Espero que el valla a prisión por un largo tiempo.
