KP Singh liked thisKP Singh liked thisLast week I had the privilege of speaking at the Joint Business School event organized by the IMD Alumni Club - an evening that brought together esteemed alumni from IMD, INSEAD, Wharton, LBS and beyond. And what a magnificent setting - Cercle de la Terrasse in Geneva is genuinely one of those places that makes you pause for a moment before you start talking. My talk covered the AI journey EPAM Systems has been on - one we reflect upon internally quite often, because it wasn't straightforward. From the early days of experimentation, through the emergence of specialized agents, to where we are now with autonomous agentic workflows beginning to reshape entire business operations. Each wave looks very different, and the gap between organizations compounding on this versus those stopping at pilots is widening faster than most people expect. What struck me most wasn't the talk itself, but it was the conversations afterwards. The questions, the candor, the 'that's exactly what we're wrestling with' moments. Leaders across industries are facing remarkably similar challenges: how do you move from AI experimentation to real business value? How do you govern it? And very importantly, how do you make sure you own your AI digital labor rather than just renting it? As they say that good people asking the right questions is usually where progress starts. This week at WWDC 2026, Apple announced its expanded Private Cloud Compute (PCC) systems, and we are thrilled to collaborate with them on this initiative. ☁️🔒 Working closely together, Apple and Google have built a serving platform on Google Cloud that meets the rigorous security, confidentiality, and transparency goals that Apple has for PCC. At the heart of this collaboration is our Confidential Computing portfolio and our Titanium security architecture. To support Apple’s privacy commitments, our layered security approach leverages our custom-designed Titan chip, Intel TDX, and NVIDIA Confidential GPUs. Together, these technologies provide the hardware-based Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) necessary to protect data-in-use during high-performance AI inference with cryptographic assurances. Leading product management for this platform has been an incredibly rewarding journey. KP Singh liked thisKP Singh liked thisSnap just fired 1,000 people and blamed AI. I call bullshit. Snapchat's CEO says AI is helping staff "work faster" and "increase velocity." So they cut 16% of the company. A convenient story when your stock needs a bump. And it worked. The stock jumped. But here is what the "AI is eating jobs" narrative misses. At Typewise, we build AI to automate enterprise workflows. And that is not how it works. A recent Harvard study of a tech company found AI did not reduce work. It intensified it. It creates new bottlenecks. New review steps. New kinds of work. So when a CEO blames mass layoffs on AI? I am skeptical. Is AI a factor? Yes. Is it the reason? No. It is cover. Are you seeing this in your company: is AI creating more work than it eliminates?

KP Singh reacted on thisI’m happy to share that I’ve joined ABB Robotics as Head of Treasury Middle Office & Controls, based in Zurich. The timing couldn’t be more pivotal, with the business undergoing a carve-out following its announced acquisition by SoftBank - a setting where Treasury infrastructure, Controls, and Governance need to be established and proven in parallel. Over the past days, I’ve been impressed and energized by the team’s drive to set this business up on a strong standalone footing. I look forward to contributing to a successful outcome and to what lies ahead for the business.

A technical paper on how Systemtap can be leveraged for kernel space debugging focussing on the I/O subsystem. The paper also discusses the utility of Systemtap in dynamic instrumentation of Applications for Performance analysis. It also discusses about fault injection into the kernel.

BART (Behavioural Analysis and Regression Toolkit)

A framework that allows kernel developers and performance engineers to analyse different behaviours within the Linux kernel and automate such analyses for regression testing. This is especially useful for complicated kernel subsystems like thermal and the scheduler where new changes can introduce subtle regressions to existing behaviours.

That is also how humans can get back to driver seat in this AI era and become even more critical: providing the judgment, feedback, and direction that help AI systems learn and improve. The real moat may not be the model itself, but how effectively an organization turns its accumulated expertise into a compounding learning system.
