(Which is at www.nightwalks.co.uk, if you don’t have time to read the ramble below.)
I haven’t written or added anything much to this blog for the past year. Not only because of the pandemic making it that much harder for authors and writers to get their writing noticed or published anywhere (because the pandemic caused even more people to take up writing) which meant I didn’t have anything newsworthy to talk about (besides my continuous struggle with the chronic health condition I have, but I don’t like “using” my health problems to get attention — and who wants to hear me whine about negative stuff anyway?
I’ve gone off at a tangent. Anyway, I’ve been working on a series of novels and querying independent publishers… And I’ve built an author website / blog about the world the novels are set in, with all kinds of stuff like links to free short stories and poetry I wrote in the past, and interviews, and links to the e-zine I’ve also been running, editing, and illustrating (Once Upon A Crocodile) as well as a link to the art / illustration page I have on Facebook (Matchsticks19). The new site is at:
Which means that this particular blog (inspirationandlaughs) isn’t going to get any more updates. You can find me at the new site instead, where I will be writing posts at least once a week.
And if you subscribe to the email list at nightwalks.co.uk, you will get a free ebook (the fantasy novella “Damian’s Dream” to be precise) followed by other exclusive free stuff via email once a month. (There’s a lot of stuff I have planned which I’m excited about. There’s going to be maps, artwork, poetry from one of the novels’ characters, a language / phrasebook that translates the Old Tongue into English, a guidebook to different locations in the world I’ve created, etc). I don’t send spam and I will not share your email address with anyone else (apart from MailChimp, which is the marketing program I’m using). I will also not ask for any of your other contact details.
I hope to see some (heck, even all) of you over there soon…
Have a happy 2022!

He was my Uncle’s dog, a chocolate Labrador who lived in the same house as my Dad, my Uncle and my grandparents.
Aren’t they sweet? Not what you’d want to meet down a dark alley. My idea is to transform them into gargoyles next.
