Students of Dartmouth's Intensive Ukrainian (UKRA 11, Fall '25) course presented a performance of poetry from the Ukrainian frontlines, translated into English in collaboration with students from several universities across Ukraine, who joined live via Zoom. The program featured Ukrainian songs on the accordion and readings by members of the Dartmouth Student Alliance for Ukraine.

Congratulations to the winners of the Annual ACTR National Post-Secondary Russian Essay Contest. In this year's contest, there were 941 essays submitted from 52 universities, colleges, and institutions across the nation.
Alex Joel '25 has been named a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow in the Carnegie American Statecraft Program, which examines U.S. foreign policy through "the lens of key bilateral relationships, mapping the way to a foreign policy more responsive to the realities of the mid-twenty-first century." Each year, the Washington-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace offers approximately 15 one-year fellowships to graduating seniors to work as research assistants to Carnegie's senior scholars in such areas as the Global South, the U.S.-China relationship, nuclear policy, and technology and international affairs.
Five Dartmouth students traveled to Harvard on April 6th 2025 to compete in the New England Olympiada of Spoken Russian. Two students won prizes for their participation. Congratulations to our winners and participants!
